Do you remember making these heart people Valentine gift bags in grade school? I always loved Valentine’s Day and getting to decorate our bags to collect all the wonderful things our classmates would bring to share. Not to brag or anything, but one year, probably 4th or 5th grade, I received about 20 little Valentine’s cards from one boy that secretly had a crush on me! Hehe!
Anyway, I just had to make these adorable heart people gift bags with my daughter.
I will say that if you have a toddler (my girl is 3 1/2), you will need to precut everything in advance. They can be a little impatient while Mom is trying to cut out tiny hearts for hands and feet.
Items Needed:
- Red, pink and white construction paper
- Solid colored gift bags (I used a kraft one and pink one)
- Googly eyes
- Marker
- Scissors
- Glue stick
For one heart person, you will need to cut out 7 small hearts, one large heart for the head and optional heart for body, 4 thin strips of white paper.
You will need to fold the strips for the arms and legs accordion style and then unfold.
Assemble the heart people as shown on gift bags. It’s fun to give them different “personalities”!
Use these adorable heart people Valentine gift bags for family or friends Valentine’s gifts and you are sure to get a smile!
